Crypto (or) Bitcoin = Fiat 4 Hostels
This is just a construction site using Weebly site builder.

There will be a lot of chopping and changing until it goes live

I'm just at the architect stage.

About Us

Picture
We know Hostels.
We know the guests that cause a scene between themselves when judges are sleeping next door
(They are there to award points for Best Hostel in Country, we came 4th!)
We know about the lifelong friendships made over a beer or coffee

We know the bus schedules, the train times, the fact that Saturday and Sunday is the same as other days of the week

we know about the guests that call at midnight saying they'll be there in 15 mins and never show up
we know that dinner breaks are just a fantasy we see in movies

We know when Dolly Parton sang about working 9-5  it wasn't about hospitality workers
we know about the wedding invitations from
our former guests
we know the extremely tight budgets needed to function

We know that no matter what we do for some guests it's never enough
we know the pleasure of return guests bringing us presents
we know the satisfaction of a 9+ rating on booking

We know construction, we know how to fix broken sinks, broken lights, how to patch walls scrapped by suitcases
we know the government inspectors, we know government rules and regulations
we know we can meet guests in different countries to share a coffee

Welcome to the world of running a hostel

Also, we know crypto.

Our Work

Once you get past the Crypto buzzwords eg Blockchain, Eth, Bitcoin, Shiba, Dao, NFT,  Altcoin, Stablecoin, Web3, Meta it gets a little bit easier.

I'll start with Blockchain.

Visualise a road as far as the eye can see.
Next take a pen and write down on the road that you got x amount of crypto from a guest.

From now on nobody can delete that writing. Nobody can graffiti over it, nobody can paint over it.  Nobody, can change it.
You write down the transaction number, the date and the time, it is there for everybody to see.

The road is a ledger that cannot be altered all past transactions can be viewed, with all future transactions waiting to be wrote.

Another example is a real world one. Recently I had a tooth pain so I went to the dentist and I need a root canal, fine, insurance covers it.

But no, because I didn't log off from hostel work in the correct time frame I am not entitled to insurance until proper paperwork is finished that takes about a month
So even though I pay insurance, I will end up having to pay for a procedure I dont want with money I dont want to spend because I've already paid for it.

On the Blockchain road,
I could specify on my transaction that there could be no change of terms unless both parties agree.  The insurance company would have to pay.  They cannot go back and change terms to suit themselves.
Actually come to think of it the blockchain road is ideal for dealing with insurance companies.

Another explainer on Crypto and NFT and MetaVerse
This applies to gamers around the world.

What if I told you that you are already in a metaverse using crypto and nfts without even knowing it.

All those years you were playing on your xbox, playstation, laptops etc. You'd probably say go away.

I'll explain using Call of Duty. One of the biggest games, played all over the world since 2003

In the game you get a character and a few guns, as you play and progress you get more characters and more guns. Easy.

For a special offer, Call of Duty brings out a gun with special effects e.g. flames but this costs money.
Specifically their money, which is called COD Points.

You open your bank card, give them your details, send them
100 Euro and you get 10,000 COD Points in return

With COD Points you can now buy a gun that has flames effect.  You have a lot of COD points left over so you see a backpack that has shooting stars effect on it.  You buy that for your character..
Then you start playing a game and during the game other players compliment you on your nice backpack and your flaming gun.

Now look at it like this:
The character is your representation of yourself
in the game, its an avatar.

That avatar is playing with other avatars in a community,
we can call it a Metaverse.
Your avatar bought credit from this game metaverse
we can call it Crypto
With your crypto you bought a backpack
we can call that NFT

A great resource for hostels

2021 The value of the hostel industry was $4.3B
That works out at nearly $12m spent every night for a bed!

Breaking down further,
(ALL ROUGH GUESSTIMATES UNTIL I GET THE PROPER DATA 2021)
Given a average price of $10 per person for a bed,

Price as we know varies for beds in different countries
$25 in Ljubljana
$50 in Zurich
$5 in Phuket

That's 1.2 million people using a hostel bed.

In 1995 roughly 8% of the world was connected to Internet.
In 2022 roughly 8% of the world has a crypto wallet.

In theory
96,000 people could be using crypto to pay for a bed.

No wonder Goldman Sachs bought up University Hostels in India for $120 million in 2020 ...right in the middle of a pandemic.

There is another aspect to this its called CBDC Central Bank Digital Currency, but I'll talk more about CBDC later, where I expect 80% of the world will have a CBDC wallet on their phone within a few short years.
